Open the screwcap and you just know that you have two hours of sheer bliss ahead of you. Pungent in flavour but so light in body it slips down so easily. My nose can detect oak, pith and unbalanced residual sugar in a single sniff but with this I can only smell the lovely nettley flavour.

That said, when absolutely spot on, both JE and SC can beat this.

£13.99 is just too much money. But twas a pleasure from start to finish to drink.

Dunc...I am but a ten minute walk from the murky Bristol Channel. Here it pours ceaselessly but never floods.

I've had continuous rain for an age, but nothing like further north. Been quite lucky really. Big lump of it arrived overnight, but will miss most of it if wind doesn't veer.
The local politburo has done one good thing in the last 35 yrs, being to spend a shed-load of wine tokens on massive interceptor drains.

Ba ......Care to dry them out with the tea bags on yur boiler ? Wine tokens, not the spent ones, thank you very much ! Then send to me.

G - for U, that Con Sur sb sounds alright - better than a kick in the head at the next Swansea match - Eh ! £13.99 is a premium, but you can spend a lot more on indifferent stuff - So, you found-out with some pleasure, can't be bad.

Like the photo - is that the 'Brisssole' Channel ? You are on the balmy gentle side - very nice. The extra heavy ebb tides run, and swirl on the Somerset shores. I've done a couple of days dinghy sailing on the weather shore, heavy Souwest blow. Getting off the shingle is a nightmare - Mad - bust arms, bleeding feet, and for the privilege, you get a pasting for free - Duh.

If it is, then it is looking east at sunrise, you can see my house in the far distance.
Probably a painting by his mother-in-law.

Yes, it's the BC. The Mother in law didn't paint it. She does paint but prefers less tranquil scenes like the M4 and Bargain Booze at closing time. That said, the BC can get a bit rougher at Porthcawl.

Currently on offer for £10.49 less 25% discount for 6 which I make £7.86.

Having spent over £40 you then receive a £5 voucher to use when you spend over £40 again.

So at the risk of encouraging blatant alcoholism that's now down to £7.03 per bottle.

Sensible stuff Wizz,

I meant to go down there and see which vintages were lurking in the expensive section. I never made it, I'm a bit cooked-up down south, here in hot Berkshire - and there is no wind at all. Do I need aircon in my workroom ?

Simple electric fan heater set to 'fan only' works a treat. Cheap, efficient and portable (not to be confused with potable).
