Enjoy Cornwall Mel, I need to have a look again. I particularly like the Helford river, swimming is brilliant on the east side at slack water. Avoid the spring ebb tide, or you'll be yelling for a lifeboat. If you're looking for a pub where only the locals go, there is a tiny one on Frenchman's creek, half of it on stilts in the river - only a lane with passing points in the woods was the way to get there, best to check that it has survived the recession.
Glad you like Swanage Ba, we have a nest there, our grandkids love it, particularly at Studland south beach when out of season, but even the square on the west side of the Mowlem has some seaside quaintness and sufficient pubs to keep you interested - very little musac, and the one arm bandit arcade is very easily avoided.
Our 42nd wedding anni today, Plaice and load of home grown berry fruit and veg is on the menu. The raspberries and B.currants to be washed down with that bargain 2009 Cote de Nuits village from Marks, that is now singing. . . . such a bargain. To celebrate, we bought ourselves an olive tree for swanage. . . . . .
Brilliant year, and weather so far for home grown.
G. you sound so much more your ole self today
* Welsh lake trout and malt beer - good stuff.
* I'd prefer new potatoes with lashings of butter and pepper and a pinch of - But that's me.
