Part of the M&S Wine Club Welcome Case

Nice Southern French spice nose, sharp apple & pear flavours, tangy, gentle herb & white pepper, firm acidity, a little swift in the finish. Not bad at all.

What is the point of developong our own tastes over many years if we are going to allow ourselves to be seduced by welcome cases full of over priced dross chosen by others.

Tell me GK how was the pinot grigio or are you saving that for the Christmas turkey.

I don't think those welcome cases are for people like us at all. You're right. We don't need an introduction. We're already acquainted. We want to spend time with those we know we love.

Perhaps it's nice from time to time to go to the naf singles bar that is an introductory case, just so that we can feel smug about what we have at home.

Don’t confuse an introduction to a wine club with an introduction to wine. There's a big difference.

Many of the wines in this case are sold separately on their site, I’ve considered buying them by the case. Now I get to try just a bottle, I’m happy with that.

Now now. Just because you can't choose your own wines there's no need to get stroppy.

If you liked the introductory case that Daphne from M&S accounts picked out for you why not send her a bottle of home made parsnip wine as a thank you.

I'm with GK on this. Gives you the chance to try things that you would not normally buy. My M&S case was an excellent assortment and good value. Avery's was even better. Virgin gave me a full refund but couldnt be fussed to collect the remaining bottles.
