From the Clare Valley and 12½%. First sampled at 11/12°. Definite one-dimensional smell, but although I knew it, I couldn't put a name to it. Five minutes of wandering around the house, smelling allsorts of things and I found the answer...toothpaste. No specific taste, just alcohol and uncleaned sink drain. An hour in the fridge improves it a tad, but after these two half-glasses it will be blended or slung. Looks like Mel's definition of "Limited Reserve" is about right.

can just imagine the scene at Maison B. B scrabbling under sinks, in herb rack, understairs cupboard, dirty laundry basket, etc, glass in hand, sniffing and comparing.

did coming up with the answer give you release, or was it limited?

Subtle or wottt? Not used to this amount of detail, but it's growing on me - like a fungus. It did give me a little satisfaction. I know that's a sin just like covetting asses but I'm a rebel WITH a cause. Two more points on offer here...

I've missed the points reference. Do you get points for donkeys?

Just finished Gavin and Stacey and am off to bed. Two late nights ahead of me. Need to prepare.

Points for "rebel WITH a cause".
Now at at 5°c (666 farenheit) this is acceptable. A little petrol nowt else. Bit like lager. If it's cold enough it's nice enough...

Get back copies of G & S if you really haven't dabbled before. Fabulous Welsh/Essex humour.

I see Dave are running Spaced again (Simon Pegg), I used to love that programme, I also fancied Jessica Stevenson at the time.

Spaced is brilliant !

got both series on DVD - I saw a couple on dave recently. Must really revisit.

Think it needs a particular SOH tho... many won't find it funny

The Inbetweeners on the other hand.... I have failed to find anyone who has not found that funny. Anyone else seen it ?
Series 3 due out next year on C4. For those of you who haven't I suggest you aqcuire a copy of series 1 & 2 on DVD.

The only G&S that I know are Gilbert & Sullivan. Never heard of those two, nor Spaced. There must be a break in the continuum somewhere around here.

Haha --- Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out into the midday sun....

that tune always springs to mind when I used to find the shady village paths when in inland Andalucia for longish hols, - a while back now.

Brits were / are quite mad, most villages and small business went to sleep, then got up again later for trading - what say you Bacchus - U dont need 18 million hampsters even in Winter.

Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out into the midday sun

A Gilbert & Sullivan composition. Before Pop and the continuum.

This thread is tenuous ! yet Ba would have been on it, I recon

Glad we're not signed up for a TV quiz, I'm rubbish, aren't you Ba ?
Well as for his hamsters, does somehow link to heating in a dockside village - In ole world Andalucia, and still possible in very remote places today (may be all gone), the horses (hamsters) went under the finca from the narrow streets below, the living room was above, so kept a few wine workers and tenders warmer on a cold Spanish night on the mountain slopes.

New series Spooks and the F Word is good, great Tai cooking last time.

Must get on - talk later

As it 'appens, I am quite good at quizzes (unless about soaps, soccer or modern "music"). I have a goal each week to get three questions right on University Challenge that no-one on the prog gets right. I get Un point each for those and a half if they do get it right but I answered it first. Have only failed twice, and have scored 8 twice.

Pete and I used to compete on UC. First answer got the point, unless we knew that the second absolutely definitely knew it and wasn't copying. We used the pause button on music and picture rounds, if necessary, which is cheating but we were happy. Pete always beat me, sometimes 20 to 15 and sometimes just over 10, but when he was ill I beat him every time and so we stopped doing it. Ugh.

Might end up in tears if I watched it now so have cancelled the taping of it.

Am quiz crazy.
