My immediate reaction to this Argentinian offering was somewhat negative, I was expecting a big chunky beast. Then with an open mind it became a Touraine or Saumur and I liked it as such. I didn't expect "delicate" from here, but in the right place, right time it works well.

Not wanting to be picky but isn't this an Argie offering ?

Am a big fan of Nicolas Catena wines. The Alamos range are great value and have often seen good comments made across all the grape varieties in the Alamos range.

The Catena and more expensive Alta range are fantastic and currently all argie wines are on offer at majestic

...Oh and a BIG welcome to gang

Pick away shezza, particularly if you are correct. The flying fingers type and having mis-typed they move on...

I was in Panama during the Falklands incident. All the locals were driving around with blue and white "Malvinas Arggggentinas" banners. My regular bridge partner was the director of the Banco Argentina in Central America, and we often dined together as well. So much for war! Eventually I left at the end of a m/c gun.
