Some American oak on the nose. Very oaky, savoury taste. Like it. Good acidity.

tasted 9/5/06

Mel,

You must try the Marques de la Concordia Reserva Rioja. I liked the Muriel from co-op but this beauty from Tesco is the best ?5 rioja I have ever come across (and I have tried many). I would like to see your opinion on this wine.

Griffic.

Ref Marquis de la Concordia Reserva 2001, which I tried at Majestic in April this year, my tasting note was as follows: Lovely oaky and soft fruity smell, although a touch of spirit, which almost puts me off. However, it's beautifully balanced in the mouth and the price is ridiculous. Grab this while it's only ?5.99
