Slow fermentation of the 'free run juice' was conducted at a cool 12-13°C for at least 20 days with selected yeasts.
Oak/lees treatment: The wine was aged for 6 months on fine lees in stainless steel tanks No oak was used with the focus being to accentuate the fruit characters and texture of this wine. Bottled following a 6 month period of settling and integration on its fine lees, this wine was then bottled and underwent a further 3 months bottle-ageing.

The territory of Gavi is in the province of Alessandria and, spreading on either side of the Lemme river, is made up of 11 communes with a total surface area of just over 1000 ha. This particular wine is made from a selection of Fratellli Martini's best Cortese grapes grown in their prime hillside vineyards. Winter pruning, shoot thinning and 'green harvest' conducted during the summer ensure production of the finest quality fruit.

Nice slim bottle neck. Ripe, fruity, appealing smell. Sweetly fruity with some tang. Nice, if you don't mind the sugar.
