Made for M&S by Will Shields, Clairault Wines from 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Shiraz and 5% Merlot.
The vineyard was planted in 1976 on loose gravel soil at an elevation of 120m above sea level. The grapes are picked, fermented for fifteen days, pressed then put in 25-50% new French oak for malolactic fermentation and aged for twenty-four months.

Quite a strong, baked smell. It is strong but I wouldn’thave guessed 15%. Not terribly obviously Cabernt and pretty hard work. Not great.
