Made for M&S by José Ignacio Cancino from 52% Merlot and 48% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Grapes are picked by hand, in small-volume containersThey are de-stemmed, the berries selected and crushed just before entering the vat. They are fermented for seven days at 27°–29°C. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and 100% is aged in new French medium toasted oak barrels for twelve months.
200 stores Minty, spicy Chilean Merlot. Dark, plummy taste, which a hefty alcoholic strength, but the Merlot is still fresh and it nearly gets away with it.
