Made for Tesco by Australian Vintage Ltd. After completion of the alcoholic and malo-lactic fermentation, the wine was matured with medium toast French oak. Post oak maturation, the wine was stabilised prior to bottling. The Howcroft Estate vineyard is located near Bordertown in the lower South East of South Australia. The area is well known for producing full flavoured wines due to its outstanding viticultural climate. It is the limestone bedrock that is responsible for many of the region's unique features including the honeycomb system of caves, some layered with fossils of Australia's Mega Fauna, the rich terra-rossa soil and the finely filtered aquifers which surface at Mount Gambier's mysterious Blue Lake.
Quite a light colour. Minty, appealing aroma. Minty and quite odd taste. Very lightweight and with fresh acidity. 14%
