This is a perfect example of why good white ( rose and sparkling ) should be served at cellar temperature as opposed to chilled.

When cold this has an intense lime flavour but with hot alcohol but when allowed to warm up it has wonderful lime and butter flavours and the alcohol is back in balance.

8/10

I loved the 04, as well. I noticed the alcohol, though, so perhaps Tesco should have served it warmer.

Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay 2004 Tesco £9.99

Very attractive lime marmalade on brown toast smell. Great mouthfeel and finishes beautifully. Just a touch too much alcohol, leaving some warmth on the end.
