One of several more pricey bottles to which I treated myself over the Xmas offers. Cork closure reveals a deep golden offering. A blend of parcels of PC and bottled at Prehy.
Lovely...nutty and milky, nice in the mouth and very tasty despite no oak.
Just about managed day 2 but lost some of its depth. A one-day jobby for me.
Restores my confidence in Chablis, but £15 normally.

Enjoy,
Restores the faith, but these Chablis you're referring to, were much bigger money, given inflation since past decades. Sub £12 buying price should get a £
Of that 1er Chablis - sounds very good Mr B. I'm sorry I didn't see that myself, just to bag a few as well to keep best chablis topped up. Pannic in the stores !

Brocard is reliable.
Q. Would you have prefered a subtle oak treatment - which costs another £ ? per bottle. I believe exactly the right oak for a good 1er chablis is bigger money than for a bolder and tannic red

The vintage '10 you had is considered by many to be the best premier cru vintage since 1990. For £11.75 inclusive of rediculous UK taxes for wine, that chablis may turn out to be a top QPR, and not beaten for many decades.

I'm not sure that most folks realise the naked truth of it all. The future is higher taxes and fermentation additives and effects to try and clone that overall effect. I sincerely hope I'm wrong with that comment.

Glad you enjoyed this, MrB. Far too much dross out there at this sorta price. I wonder if I would prefer this to the Laroche basic that I had several years ago.

What is PC selection....Plaid Cymru ?

Ok, but if Plaid Cymru do start offering you Chablis please don't vote for them. I don't mind shagging sheep but i'm not talking Welsh....
