Absolutely massive nose and taste of wet stones. A hint of Loire like flint and Wairau like grapefruit on the end but the wet stones dominates.

Darkening yellow and mellowing acidity suggest that this will be lush in about twelve months but the flavour needs some more fruit for the wine to be lovely.

Probably the most pungent sb on the planet.

No star yet.

I had a 2009 the other week. That was really pungent, but a little over-acidic. Is this likely to go that way?

I doubt it. Acid wise I think this is a mellow wine and will stay that way.. I just wish the flavour was as it was in 2007. Back then it was Saint Clair meets proper nice Pouilly Fume. Now it's gone a bit Touraine.

Looks like it's going Touraine tomorrow, but the good news is that it shouldn't be going Touaraine for a few days after that...yipeee.
