Tonight I take my first wine for 4 days. Oh yes I do....really...honest. 'Tis past midnight, I have Handel in the 'phones at 99 dB and I am in a very good mood. I chose this to break my fast. D**n good choice. Darker than most, almost approaching whisk(e)y colour and not quiiiite "brut". Comfort food though, crushed hazel nuts and a hint of armpit. Haute couture it ain't but lovely it is.

There is no finer sparkler under silly Champagne money.

The price has soared though. £11.99 at MW.. 2 for £8.99

Bugger !

Am not a massive bubbly fan. But enjoy this as an easy drinker
Have had this since march so may have settled down a bit
Pink tinge in colour as always and light soft mousse
Good fruit flavour that is slightly sweet but nowhere along the lines of a demi sec and crisp acidity
Consistent performer
