Clearance price.

Astonishing wine. 10.5% alc, no oak, no prolonged skin contact, yet this wine is about as rich and full bodied a white wine as i've ever had.

Tastes strongly of vanilla/custard with an underlying hint of honey which may or may not develop.

Dark yellow colour suggests that it will develop and mellow. Flavour suggests that it won't.

8g rs yet tastes bone dry.

Not a beginners wine.

In store. If I could be sure that these would soften in time I would go back and buy the lot but the 2005 went nowhere even after 5 years. The 2010 will be a semillon/sauvignon blend with 12g of sugar per litre.

I took a punt on some PL Barossa Semillon '05, found the last four bottles on the reduced shelf in Tesco this morning for £3.49

I havent had the '05 for a couple of years, anyone know if this is still going strong?

was still good in my books about 6 months ago.
Goose says it hasn't developed as much as he'd hoped but in my view this was good when last tried and I have 2 or 3 bottles left

I know you didn't like it so much but I've been purchasing a bottle or 2 of the Mount Elizabeth whenever Tesco have their 25% off running as it's well reviewed by a number of guys in cellar tracker and for £6.87 its seems good value so have got 6 to try over the next few years

There's now a richness to this that I dont recall from past examples, a clean, waxy brew with incredible acidity, the nose blew me away.

I went back this morning in the hope they found some more, no luck. I would buy 10 cases if they had it.
