My local Sainsbury have a lot of new wines. Jackson Estate and Sacred Hill are back. They also have Mount Riley and a new one called Glenridge.

This was nondescript about three months ago but is gorgeous now. Blackcurrant leaf and a hint of chalk. 2007 all over again just needs time to develop in the way MrD would like it but is drinking perfectly for me now

Saint Clair PB 19 2010 still beats it but i'm well happy with this.

Mel, which did you prefer. The TtD Sancerre 2010 or the Baudrieres Sancerre at Majestic.

Ta for re-flagging this one up.

You will like this Ba...2010 is on offer for £8.99. Mount Riley is sub £7 at the mo as well. Last time I had it it was oaked.

JE 2010.

Some willl be more developed than others. This is quite rich served at room temp and almost identical to the 07 but is lacking in concentration when chilled.

Quite Chilean in it's need for warmth....I don't mind warm white wine though.

Thanks for this Goose.

I will acquire some JE 2 Ten for the rack, and next year's supping.

I am wrecked tonight.

I have pushed the boat out again. We have scaffolding in a double lift all over the back of our home - 3 storey at the back. I've had a quick inspection this evening of the remedial, and pointing maintenance work to be done. I will now blow my body as well as my mind. Mortar bees have been boring holes here and there. I've also got a great painter.

I have builder's hands tonight, not those of a slim and manicured accountant's.

I've also sampled the new '09 Belleruche CdR from Chapoutier - Nice vintage, sweet fruit and easy going down. I like these '09s from southern Rhone.

I did, thanks. I would of bought if I could have been guaranteed the 2011. The 2010 can be really nice but some are a bit pithy and heavy.

I have some Saint Clair on the way.....that also put me off buying any JE.

Will give a 2010 a go tonight.
If not up to scratch I might see if I can swap it for 2011 if I see any in store

Only the one petrol voucher stuffed at the bottom. - I almost binned it with the box
Tried the JE 10 last night. A bit disappointed actually across the temp range
Like goose says, drunks better a bit warmer but something wasn't right

I found the wine a little better on the 2nd day, but still a tad sweet (2 months ago) there is something not quite right, but that element for me, was more resolved the next day.

You've been drinking Goldwater and Vav'10, a really tough act to follow ! Try drinking some of the other naff tat around, and afterwards, you will be a much happier Bunny with this.

Shez - Have you read any reliable TN's for JE'11 ? That we don't know ?

cheers.

Agree on the sweetness for 2010 and lacks any minerality

I've just read that 2011 in general was looking good for MSB and as I had been a bit disappointed with 2010 overall I was willing to take a punt on 2011 being better
