Made by a small family owned négociant based in the castle town of Montrichard. Grapes were gently pressed and cool fermented.

A little sulphurous on the nose. Rounded, rather than sharp, but still tangy.

This was on the tatsing counter in Majestic when I went in last weekend to stock up on NZ SB -- Liked it so much I bought half-a-dozen instead of NZ.

Had bottle last night - loverly gooseberry, grass and crisp NZ-like acidity.

Unfortunately it has gone up in price to £6.49 per bottle with the current offer.
