Was alerted to this offer on Delia Online and asked for a sample because it seemed like good value.


Love the packaging. The clear, neutral glass makes the slightly greeny wine very appealing, against the dull gold foil. There isn't a great deal on the nose, but certainly nothing unpleasant. In the mouth it's bright and tangy, clean and fresh. There's no bitterness and, while it certainly isn't overly fruity and sweet - a good thing - neither is there any drying on the tongue. It's easy, pleasant and refreshing.

I recently got a case from Tesco,£6 a bottle and free delivery. That's £1.83 less a bottle than Delia Online.

It is a very pleasant drink, fresh and sprightly, one of the very few sparklers I can enjoy.

Ah yes, but you get the Dining Card as well from Delia Online, which could pay for itself in one meal.

Buy it from tesco as you can get 3 months free trial on the GS website.

When the trial perios expires either pay for a year (at the discounted rate they offer - never the full px they advertise) or switch to a tastecard free trial

I'm a paying member for Tastecard and my colleague is with GS so that covers everything between us
both are worth it as you cover the cost pretty much on your first dinner out

Fair enough, but there's a difference between improving and keeping. It may not improve, but if it still tastes the same in two years from now, it has 'kept'. Id be happy with that although as Dunc points out, best enjoyed in its youth I suppose.

Don't suppose you're going to Cornwall in the next few weeks. Love elderflower fizz.

I don't think I'd want to keep it more than 2 years, but I have no experience of keeping this sort of wine. Am comparing it with lesser NV wines from you know where, which it isn't.

Nope, Im heading north, climbing & cycling in Scotland, then camping in the lake disrict with the family.

I made a rose fizz this year, added a tin of red grape concentrate, its a lovely dark salmon pink colour. Opened the first bottle at a festival a couple of weeks back, very nice indeed.

Sounds delicious, actually.

The JC is not sweet, it is slightly off-dry. There's a big difference.
