Smell more like Malbec than Cabernet. Quite hard and Malbec-like in mouth. No blackcurrant at all and a bit rough.

28/9/05 (tasted at M & S)

Grrrr, my 'notes' from Superplonk. Looks like we'll have to agree to disagree

An excellent, meaty wine, 14%, plummy and licorice, chocolate and quite peppery along with heavy tannins and a huge sediment. Well recommended and if I buy any more I'd cellar it for a couple of years to smooth it out a bit - or have it with a huge slab of steak. An excellent wine for the money - easily 16/20 now but maybe more in a couple...

Notes in Superplonk are infinitely superior to my scribbles. I bow to his descriptive powers, maturity and ability to taste me under the table. (MNB)
