£11.99 at Majestic and Tesco.

Strong gooseberry on the nose. Savoury taste, which is tangy and intense. Very long and the sugar level is absolutely perfectly judged.

It is good to know that the middle rank mix from VM is good for the '10. I was a fan of the '07 at 18 months on.

Been sat on this for a while. My tempus may be fugiting however, so leapt in.
Good middle of the road stuff, a bit "beefy" and a touch of friz.
Suits me Sir.

It is a full figured and weighty style - beefy ! Ha ha .

Needs a year at least to show its best, it will last on the rack for ages.... MSB'10 well ? Glad you didn't find the weighty bit and mouth feel a touch oily, it has never been acidic (since 2006) before that ? Dunno. But early after release, it is a tad simplistic, so this is a reliable keeper.

The fitz goes after further laying-up. Some folks like that fitz ?

I think that the VM "cellar selection" model is a reasonable barometer for the Marlborough vintage. Same style as Cloudy Bay, but not quite so concentrated.

A year later and the spritz is still holding on really strong, Takes 15C serving and swirling to subside. The spritz is so firmly anchored, that it takes a while to get a hold on the flavour.

Like that - this wine will appear with a young fresh face for many moons. Pungency a bit disappointing though, the goosebugs are not so strong now.

Pretty good standard.
