Link (Ignore the Malbec ref  )

This is currently included in the clearence selection for £4

Produced by the Perrin clan of Beaucastel. Smokey, ripe and peppery with a balanced sweetness. Good acidity and balance, young & delicous. My type of Rhone wine.

Once again, this is Midlands Co-op. I have been looking in multiple branches of Co-op around these parts for all the reductions / wines mentioned on this forum. Nix, nicis.

Nix, nicis - An absence of snow ?

The Midlands clearance is absent south of Watford. Our Co-op stores are ex Somerfield, Londis and such like, aren't they Ba ?
I have viewed and seen nothing there

Sorry Ba, wasted on me, I know pretty much nihilum about footy. To keep-up, I googled to find out - Petr Cech.

Except the 66' world cup, which is still fairly vivid, And they think it's all over - It is now

Martin Peters makes it absolutely sure.

Me neither, just seems that all goalies are from e.europe these days. Last time I saw a goalie live he was wearing a thick green wooly jumper.

I'm not overly a fan of Grenache which is why items to not bother so much with Rhine blends (gamekeeper reserve seems to be one of the few syrah/Grenache blends I'll happily drink)
Saw a good few of these in one co-op store today so is not midlands exclusive chaps, just have to scour all the local stores.

Havent really bought any wine through jan so i will give a couple a go along with some other co-op bargains

It is indeed a decent drop, enjoy over two days as it goes a bit flat by day three. There's a certain herb-y / meat stock flavour running through this, sounds odd but it is rather morish.

Maybe it's me....
Maybe I don't like Rhone wines....
Maybe it's the bottle I've opened....

Had higher hopes after 2 guys here signing its praises
Soon after opening im getting a dose of Benilyn with tannin
Benilyn now replaces with light plum, cherry and raisin (altho wine not baked)
Length: blink and you'll miss it!
With a mouthful of my girls leftover pasta napoletana I cannot taste anything

It's ok (im drinking it side by side with the saumur champigny) just not really my thing I guess

Pity, Im two bottles in and enjoying it very much. I may keep the others for a couple of years, '09 Rhones are shaping up to be a decent vintage with ageworthy wines according to Decanter March issue.
