Coteaux du Languedoc. Dry cherry, herbal smell. Savoury and, possibly only in my imagination because I know where it's from, flavours of lavendar or rosemary. Very good.

Have either of you tried the '08 of this?

I'm tempted by this deal but am put off by the 'weaker' '08 vintage.

This has the potential to be a good buy for an interesting, everyday red, any thoughts?

Decided to go for it, used a £20 M&S gift card I was given at crimbo to bring the cost down to £2.33 a bottle inc delivery.

Im hoping this will serve as a nice summer/bbq red now Ive finished all my Cuvée Mythique '06.

Must admit, am tempted (how did you find this?). There is another low price special offer case that is also on my radar that if bought both would give an extra 10% off.

T, I just looked through their offers hoping to find a red and decided this was the most interesting, did a bit of research and found a bunch of positive reviews for the Producer and this particular wine.

I do very much like herby southern French reds with a dash of ripeness, lots of character and great QPR, good food wines too. My case should be with me on Friday, will have a TN for you by next Monday if you prefer to wait.

We'll see. Would run the risk of missing out.

I've put them in my basket and the total comes to under £3 per bottle without any vouchers or promo codes.

Bought these and Les Pionniers rouge 2009. Both half price with further 10% off. They went out of stock and then were available again for a short time. I took it as a sign.

Fingers crossed.

My delivery of the Parc arrived on Friday, six bottles short

Spoke to customer services, another case is on its way. You may get another case of twelve, says lady on phone, not a problem, says I.

I opened a bottle on Friday eve, dry with a bitter chocolate finish and not as ripe as I would have liked, quite mellow with some interesting layers. I was feeling under the weather on Friday and wasnt in the mood tbh, one glass was all I could manage. Will see how it is on day three with dinner later.

Tried again on Sunday afternoon, much better but that's probably down to me feeling fine again.

The nose was in full bloom, dry hay meadow and just a hint of rosemary. Still very dry in the finish, I feel this wine is a splash of sweet fruit away from being very good but that’s my personal preference, it went surprisingly well with gammon. Drink on day one with food, leave for a day or two to enjoy on its own I think.

An interesting and serious wine but not the summer bbq glugger I was hoping for, the dryness lets it down.

Thanks for that GK. Not as good as the Cuvee Mythique then? I'm still hoping that it is included in their special offers again. I've got 2 left.

My Parc will arrive on Wednesday. Will let you know what I think shortly after.

There are a lot of bugs doing the rounds. I was hit by a bad cold / man flu last week after only just recovering from one over christmas.

I see it’s now disappeared from the site.

Will be interesting to see what we actually get on Wednesday. I already have five bottles left so I wont be disappointed if a case of something else turns up. A case of Gevrey Chamby will do nicely.

I too only had 6 delivered of both cases. However when I called them they said there has been an error on the website and these were both meant to be cases of 6. They immediately offered to refund half the price of the wines. I considered asking if they could send out another 6 of each (knowing that this was most likely not possible), but, going off your tasting note for the Parc, GK, decided 6 off each was enough and accepted.

I still received the 10% off for the full price so the price per bottle was £2.54 so I can't complain. :D

If these had been cases of 6 then the offer price would have actually been the full price (as confirmed by myself in store) so were these intended to be on offer at all? Curious :?

Indeed. I saw the Parc instore at the weekend for £7.49 a bottle. It looks like an original pricing/quantity mistake that has worked in our favour.

My 'missing case' delivery has been put back. I have written to them to complain and asked they either send an alternative or refund the money. Im trying my luck here and hoping the increasing complexity of this order will end with me getting a free case of wine.

Time will tell. Enjoy your half price Parc

Mel's TN for the 05 is spot on for this 08. It is drier in style. I actually quite like this. Probably would never pay the current full price of £7.49, but for half that very good QPR.

I am in the very clagged up stage of last weeks cold, so I cannot fully appreciate the aromas, but I have managed to clear the nostrils enough to get an idea. Good spot GK. I am happy with my 6.

Also at 12.5% you can quaff this quite easily without getting too inebriated.
