A huge improvement in the underlying flavour. Plenty of passion fruit/blackcurrant but the flavour is overpowered by the sweetness that is clearly designed to make this wine popular with the masses.

The masses will love it.

Not me.

Disappointed this morning....I didn't find Oyster Bay in Sketchly dry cleaners ! Only Dab-It-Off !

Yep, I understand your quick note. 2010 OB were out of the blocks very quick. That fruit was only gathered in and crushed in March / April this year.

Goose, Q.

More importantly for me. How was that Laboure'-Roi Meursault 2006. Was it OK ? There is a Saint Romain blanc on the '08 at Majestic, that a young whipper snapper manager is crowing about.

Might be an indicator - I know the inconsistency of the Pinot rouges from Laboure' better

Err.....they were given away whilst I was still deciding when best to open one.

She's agreed to buy me some St Veran Les Monts 09 unoaked from M&S to compensate. My fav chardonnay. The 08 was quite dilute :(

Sorry for lack of tasting note !

Your Misses impressing her mates with posh white burgundy gifts

She does owe you one !

Goose - money no object, very pale and dancing fresh Chassagne Montrachet would be your favourite chardonnay - I know the style that you like.
