Winemaker and winery:. Nigel Fraser, Montana Brancott Winery.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir.
Region Marlborough: Southern Valleys (Brancott & Omaka Valley) of Marlborough.
Viticulture/Vinification: Low cropping, two cane VSP. The grapes were 100% machine harvest. The grapes were destemmed and cold soaked for 6 days. The must is warmed and inoculated with cultured strains. The grapes were fermented on skins for 10 days then drained to French barrels. A mixture of barrel ages were used The wine spends 10 months in oak, then blended for bottling.
Availability: Now – 400 stores.
13.5% vol.

Lovely Pinot nose. Warm cherries, but also some oak and interest. Nice balance of alcohol and also flavours. Just fruity enough, oaky enough and, well, nice.
