Mind you, I'm a little unsure why they don't want La Couronne if they know you are going to buy it, or will they not transfer less than a dozen or more? We could always pick some up and ship on. I have some shippable boxes and the courier charges cannot be that much. I'll let you mull that one over.

Tribs - I'd be amazed from their reply this afternoon, whether they have any spare, I am only having 3 only, I realized that a request for a case was a non starter, when I enquired on Tuesday.

Tom says that Mark can get me more Couronne anytime on his reply.
TBH, Stockport is your best bet to pull some from N. Wales where turnover is likely to be slow.

Mr G suddenly reserves all Cardiff stock

Well done on the Roaring Meg '08, I enquired about that when I was there over two weeks ago doing some tasting. None here, I missed it for the M&S offer but that was '07. The 08 is the one to have I believe, and you got one. Small mercies, eh !

my place had both the 96 Picard at 12.99 and the 97 discounted to 8.99 anyone want me to have a word?

Thanks Shez, your branch have reverted to the original - and now new price again.

'97 is soft, do not bother. The '96 is the one, '98 a 2nd string and I feel the reason for a run on it, was £8.99 across the board for a week or so only here on these Mahler Besse clarets that Tribs and I were supping.

Those who know, picked off the right vintages when £4 a bottle could be saved.

I'll call them in the morning and see if they have any unreserved stock. It was after 8 pm when I saw your message.

I opened another of these last night.

The intense fruit is all but gone. The sweetness has not and it now seems unbalanced, almost sickly. It could be my less than ideal storage conditions for whites prior to the acquisition of my cooler but the other MSBs i have, have not been affected. Perhaps this wine relies on those delicate thiols more than others though.

BTW, Alastair at maj was telling me the reason 0h Block 6 was in short supply was that they received a single order for 240 bottles

Goose, was that you
