Winemakers and winery: Virginie Bigonneau and Jacques Bailly, Domaine Bailly.
Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
Region: Quincy, Loire Valley.
Viticulture/Vinification: The 15 year old vines are grown in soils of clay, limestone and red sand in the small appellation of the Cher department – on the left bank of the Cher river between Bourges and Vierzon. This wine is unoaked.
Availability: Now – 193 stores.
12.5% vol.

Fruity, almost tropical, nose. Blimey, this is ripe. Catty taste, but intense and fruity, like New Zealand. Extraordinary. Good, but massive for Quincy.

Exactly, she was lucky, but it was £10 quid for heavens sake. On a better harvest and you get the same flavour for 7 Euros in a Britanny supermarket.

Actually Goose, domaine bottled Quincy has gone up in leaps and bounds in recent years - well ya know this stuff.
