At first I was loathed to pay the full offer price of £6.99  knowing it was recently £5. But, I thought I had to see what I was missing and picked up a bottle and opened it tonight.

I'm with Shez on this, it's sweeter and fruitier than I was expecting. I guess you are paying the premium for the Chablis label and as a result even at £6.99 its a bargain, but there are other whites that I would rather drink at that price. Maybe one to impress guests with a little wine knowledge and make them think you have splashed out more than you have.

I've been thoroughly enjoying the six bottles I bought. Slowly, and I still have some left. I badly need a house white. If only I knew someone who knew something about wine to give me advice.

I have four bottles of Black Tower to taste. The original Rivaner, a Chard, a Pinot Grigio and a rose. I'm practically looking forward to it. I had the Rivaner a couple of years ago and rather liked it. Will report back.

Is there a text shorthand for "sits back and waits for the fan to get covered".

Thought that I'd bought the wrong one. Awful, wouldn't give it house room.

I was overly harsh and I've edited my post. I said I'd prefer many whites to this, which is not true. What I meant to say is that it will not be replacing my favourite MSBs and a couple other whites as a regular buy. If it comes up at £5 again I'll grab a few though

Ba, I'm curious, what did you not like about it?

This is growing on me and the wife tells me she likes this. On day 2 and 3 it seems cleaner. It was delightful with Ceasar salad just now (just a teeny little drop). I may have to buy a few more on the current offer.

Back at £5. Just picked up 6 for £28.50

This wine is now a Decanter Trophy winner 2010 (White burgundy Under £10)

OK, have now joined the party and ordered x12 online from their groceries section- as this was my first order from this department I got £10 off (enter code- XXSEARCH).

£4.17 a bottle, being delivered tomorrow evening.

Thanks all

Thanks for the code - email 17th June, for viewers though, you need to spend £50 on your 1st order.

I awarded this wine a star on 12th May, but you need Decanter to tell you ? Huh ! Mel confirms again later that it is good stuff.

May be I should quit burgundy assessment and blog elsewhere

MrD, you're a Burgundian god. GK is just a turnip loving halfwit wot drinks home made beetroot and rhubarb wine.

Pay no attention.

Nobody else does.

Calm down dear, there's only so much room for wine at GK Towers.

Have you rushed out to buy this yet?

No?, well then, stop your whining
