Better than the load of French cheapos I've had recently. Some depth, some hay, something fatty. £20 it ain't...£5 it is,

Ba, I find it rather difficult to be properly subjective about a wine that has Hardy's name on the label.

My memory of party stuff, maybe quite a few years ago, just shuts down my inclination to buy and try again. The Hardy's Crest Cab Shiraz mix was truely diabolical when I last experienced it at a BBQ - quite a few years back, it has to be said.

Fortunately, because we write for a half decent wine appreciation web site, the possibility of buying a wine that is not to our taste, should be less frequent than for those who have not done their research.

There are those folks who find Blossom Hill and Kumala to their taste - Being polite tonight - no comment.

I'd like to believe - There is a tiny bit of knowledge and experience around here. To date, and as far as I know, we have not given any dodgy opinions of the ones I have re-visited  Where there are differences of opinon, we normally thrash it out.

There is a rule - A wine that is dodgy or improperly hyped-up goes back. A wine that performs above the norms expected, gets an accolade.

A fiver's worth then.

This was quite drinkable and I got on with the riesling as well. All those different ranges are confusing though. VR, Nottage, Oomoo, Crest, Stamp, Voyage, and others.

Whatever you do, never, I repeat NEVER purchase Hardy's Private Bin range available exclusively at JD Weatherspoons !

Would imagine puss from a boil on the devil himself would be more appealing :qofyuk:
