Gorgeous bottle. Supposedly kept back for the famous Raventos family but on general release to celebrate 125th. anniversary. Candles, hint of nut and great acclaim elsewhere. Didn't ring my bell though.

Many years ago in some required reading for my then nascent hobby, I encountered a phrase that has stayed with me ever since. "...shall have the moral fortitude to redirect himself".
So, here I so do. Don't know if it was me, the temp, or the bottle, but the second one is very much better. Still not my favourite but now tastes like £8. The Chardonnay is coming through to round out the other grapes. Complex and heading towards France dare I say.

Glass I hope....

I had 2 bottles of this stuff. Not being a fizz fan I didn't bother drinking much of it and didn't take any notes as most cava tends to taste the same to me

gave the other bottle to my ma as her easter egg...

I'm glad the fortitude is directing you Ba, Sparkling is your theme recently, sparkling and more sparkling.

Chardonnay, Pinot noir and P. gris make the best sparkling wines - I'm going to be attached now

You're being very eco Ba, sticking to Euro Fizz. Not tempted with Chilean sparkling chardonnay yet ? Have you ventured into Italy for sparkling chardonnay ? or is this next on the cards. Don't forget Russian Fizz ! I dont think it's got a KGB stamp and a handle on the side.

Spain is very good value at the moment. There is a very deep recession going on in Spain, the ash however has helped the holiday industry for 10 days or so.

Ba, after 2 bottles of Fizz are you ready to pop ? Blow Out as it were !

Bubbles

There you are Ba, a nice pic, no projectile stuff here thank you very much.

Have had some Prosecco and really liked the Chilean Isla Negra which has Chardonnay and Riesling.
