Hint of lime in colour, pear drops on the nose- lovely. This must be the first new world Chardonnay I have really enjoyed for a very long time. Nicely rounded and incredibly fresh, low-fat cream and spiced peach, lime juice acidity, a touch of background oak. Not heavy, different and just right.

Is that a Chilean chard, couldn't find it. I thought this one also made the grade in an elegant way. Yours tho, is an 09 - so extra young & virginal.

The land there was grain growing, so there is a concern that Chile, could be overdoing it on historic grain lands. Lets hope they have a balanced agricultural Sys.....unlike some parts of Europe !

Oops, sorry, its an Australian white.

Had the Red Block Shiraz over the weekend, typical Sth Oz Shiraz, some spice, sweet fruit lacking acidity and grip, swift finish, forgotton about.

We had a second bottle of the Chardonnay last night, just as nice as the first.

It deserves one of these..
