my first experience of Albarino was as part of a wine pairing tasting menu at a restaurant.
Was converted the momment I tried it. Remember we all immediately fell in love with it (along with a very good pinot Gris served with another course too)

I remember they were kind enough to give me a copy of the menu at the end of the meal so I could have a record of name.

Unfortunately, I lost this a while back but remember it wasn't on sale at many online retailers when I did a search.

Looking on the restaurant's website they currently stock Albariño, Adega dos Eidos, Eidos de Padrinan which it may well have been but can't be certain

Very much like Viogner as Mel said. A good Albarino should have some Chablis-like minerality behind it and this doesn't. Not a bad wine for the price but not the holy grail of Albarinos.

I have to concur.
Was a bit disappointed upon drinking this.
A little warmth but seemed to lack the acidity Mel mentioned
Not as fresh and crisp as I'd expected
