A pal of mine swears by this so I had a go. Just acceptable at "half price" but no character, in fact nothing. Drinkable dross...

Somebody forced me to have a glass of Hardy's Bin something or other colombard chardonnay. Twas the usual recipe. Vague lime and vague oak. Why oh why do people buy chardonnays like this.

The "Hawkstone" is even worse, awwwwwful. Had to wash the mouth out with a '64 Kronenbourg.
