Mendoza (Arggggentina). The blurb got me again & after all, it was "half price". There may be a nanogram of pineapple hiding somewhere, but in general, acidy, medicinal and not much else.

The only one that I used to get regularly was Tesco's Luganilla Rioja pack. 2xCrianza, 2xReserva, 2xGrand Reserva £36 the lot.

I don't mind trying (an getting slapped) new wines in singles and get 6's of known T wines when on offer, with free d/y and a £10 or 12 voucher.

I've never received a voucher from Tesco's. I tell a lie, I did get a voucher once, and then found it out of date in the back of my wallet - I don't know the whole clubby thing, or the rules. Have a card, get it swipped now and again.

On your wine front, discovery can be your enjoyment of them. Knocking them, redresses the balance for the hopeless ones - does it ?

Wish you better luck, Ba.

End of.

We had one over xmas that I forgot to mention, and it was sparkling

This-

Reduced to £5-ish in Tesco.

You know, it was rather good. None of the stale bubblegum flavour I often associate with NW sparklers, this was fresh and focused, mellow and quite refined. My wife loved it (it were she who done got it).

It must be the Riesling, surely?
