The tarty bit. I sploshed half of it, about a bit. I worked it, to find the light cherry nose (v. faint on opening)

To my mind, the fruit would not have been sorted at this price level, "une table de trie", therefore a few unhealthy grapes may have been responsible for that unusual / angostura (spelling) twist

GK, I've just had a faulty bottle, I thought it was turning last night, after I'd eaten the home made quiche, and my nose and palate were then clean.

Sucked the half full bottle out and put in a freezing cold larder.

The wine has turned over night and is only good for salad dressing.

Rich bought a lot of this - I hope his are OK. This bottle is manufacturing its own acetic acid, and making it's own light vinegar, and in only 20 hours since opening, and also in the cold.

Be Careful Folks - Find your Sains receipt. You may find similar issues with this wine.

Sorry about this the cork was a synthetic one, no leakage detected, racked in a cold store. Assume Faulty bottling.

Funny opened one on Wednesday night !!

Similar to first bottle two weeks prevoius.

Sour Cherry, very light in colour ok length, not a great wine for my taste buds though.
But £3.00 silly not to buy a few, will hold 4/5 back for the summer if we get one this year !!

Just purchased some Domaine de Mordoree Lirac 'La Reine de Bois' 2005 for cellaring a top wine !!

Dont know this Lirac, only know Pegasau (spelling) but if oaked, and 2005, should easily go the distance.

Have some Tesco finest CNdP 2005, and that is not actually ready to my mind yet. Tesco F. CNdp 2003 was drunk this year with pleasure, and that was a softer vintage at the budget end

Rich.....From my recent exp. and knowing that the first was fragile to say the least, I dont know if that AR Bougogne will actually make it to the summer - keep checking. Mine is in the dark and cool - so I will check again in a few weeks. Did we only pay £3 quid for that stuff

I have two wines to go back to Sains - when the snow clears, and will pick some 2007 Rhones if I see something reasonable.
