60% Pinot Noir and 40% Gamay (to add smoothness in high-acid vintage). Pinot Noir is from vineyards in the Côte d'Or and Mâconnais whilst the Gamay hails from a variety of different Beaujolais crus. The grapes were hand-picked, de-stemmed and crushed. Fermented in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature for 10-14 days. 25% of the wine is matured in new oak barrels. Winemaker Jean Luppatelli. Very little smell. Young in the mouth. Low tannin red wine with fresh acidity and no more. Alc 12.5%, TA 5.6g/l, pH 3.58, RS 2g/l.
