[quote="GK"]As its Christmas, Canary Flip anyone?

I could do with some Canary sun - grey blanket here and spitting a bit of drizzle snow - bloody dull. Mel's doing the right thing - but has she booked a BA flight ?

Looks good, I've completely forgotten what Bolls Advo. tastes like ?

Medoc Man - you know when you get the front page of QO and there's a pink hatched area, well the top bit is a special offer search and if you select Tesco in the first dropdown box, you get all Tesco's current offers.

Tio Pepe

For me, the salty, savoury flavour is perfect for 6pm. I happen to have it in the fridge door, but if not then I have it on ice. Unless the question was "how ON EARTH do you drink TP" to which the answer is "easily, I love it"

Also, something sharp and savoury at that time sharpens your appetite, not that mine...

At the weekend I'm having a dozen or so friends over and am doing something from the Raymond Blanc book "cooking for your friends" or something. It's a chocolate delice, in layers. Glass pudding bowl/champagne glass, 3 rasps in the bottom, a little sweetened whipped cream, prunes soaked in PX and then a quenelle of chocolate "delice" which seems to be the consistency of ice cream without actually being frozen. Will be serving it with a sweet sherry - Moscatel Emilin, made by Lustau.

Oloroso with the cheese. Have port but 10 women and 2 men, so not worth opening a bottle (sexist, but true)

No to BA, thank goodness. Qatar, phew.
