each for a brace.
This wine is made exclusively for Majestic, hence the name! This first release of Majestic Peaks Pinot Noir shows vibrant wild thyme, spice, liquorice, rich raspberry jam and cherry aromatics. The palate is all about Central Otago showing elegance and a soft powerful tannin structure supporting cherry, cassis, chocolate and raspberry spice flavours. This will drink wonderfully with duck cooked in Chinese five spice. Rather gushing ? Free range duck has rather a strong flavour.
I don't really want jam though per se' - ie, boiled raspberrys. There is a change in nose and flavour when raspberries are boiled - Raspberry compot maybe is nicer for a PN.
I've read Pension scheme promises that were less compelling !
Soft powerful tannin structure - that's a new one, in the world of cliche's
Well, we have to try before rushing to judgement - seems an awful lot of a wine for £7.99 ?
