Successful day in wild and wooly Wiltshire. North to Chippenham M4, M32 homeward bound. Horrendous motorway; wind , rain, spray etc. Nearly home, shattered, looking forward to a drop of something.
Stopped by the feds. "Believed to have committed a moving traffic offense"...nonsense. Now "believe you have been drinking"..second made- up nonsense. Stopped 20 yards from my house, and had to leave car in middle of road for 10 mins or so, awaiting more plod with breathalyser. Zilch. Ruined my day, bit traumatised in fact. Bah!!! At least they didn't shoot me.

You handled it well.

The trad copper is almost extinct :(

I was stopped about 3 years ago, also not far from Home by a unmarked vehicle but with a light stobe on top.
Fortunately Misses D was in the car, and I was able to pull into a Filling station.
They complained that I was weaving, I told them I was avoiding pot holes to save my tyres and ball joints. They quizzed again, my Misses confirmed, and I was spared further embarrassment.

Harder and wetter winters and heavier wagons have taken their toll on the tarmac in old parts of the Town.

Poor you. It was a foul evening. I was coming back from London and was probably also weaving, also not due to alc.

Shakes you up.
