Offer price.

I have no idea what the sauvignon and the riesling are doing in this blend. The semillon is totally dominant and the wine is wonderful. Identical in flavour to the PL semillon but this is more mellow and less acidic.

Honey and citrus

I like this wine too, the vintages are generally consistent.

I remember when the standard price for this was £4.49 (cue violins)

As the wine warms up i'm getting a touch of burnt lime on a very long and moreish finish. Good grief this is nice.

Are the St Hallett reds this good ?

The Gamekeepers Reserve is a Shiraz blend, less consistant and a little top-heavy, 14.5% alc and can be jammy. It is very popular though.

Their Blackwell Shiraz (Barossa) is one of their flagship wines and often picks up awards, not tried this myself.

have to agree with you guys here.
The lat time I tried the PB I really enjoyed it - first bottle I had a stinking cold and couldn't fully appreciate it.

Think the GK reserve is pretty good too - as GK say - quite jammy but fairly fresh too. Evident thhere is no oak there - another summer evening drinker IMO

Still have bottle of the Waitrose in partnership with St Halletts 06 Shiraz bought on Mel's recommendation

Not tried any of their upper end stuff but in general I think they do produce some very good stuff.
