Boys, I had been thinking about us starting a (weekly?) taste in. Mind you, since I can't lure you all to sunny Glos for weekend lunch, trying to find a night of the week that we can taste together might be tricky.

Sunday, 7pm?

Any suggestions for a wine we can all find? While most of you have the Bonpas 07, it appears to be tricky to find and Stroud didn't have any.

Perhaps MSB that is easy to get hold of, but not as easy as Montana.

Suggestions?

I could pull my finger out and search some other Sains for the 07 Bonpas? Can Bacchus stand grenache?

I'm up for a Sunday night tasting.

Anybody who suggests Californian/Australian chardonnay gets poked with a very big leek.

I don't mind experimenting with a red or two though.

Snot my fault guv. 'onest. Had many a gallon petrol can filled at the cave. I would drink anything red at one time...until I met Monsieur Madiran.

Great idea. You lot go ahead, and if I have a pennyworth to add, I shall. The bridge "season" is Sept. - May, and most big events are on Sundays. Therefore you may get my ramblings nearer midnight than 7. Have 2 locals and 2 in Wild Wild Wilts coming up so far (b4 Xmas).

I don't understand why you love that wine so.....it's not a bad wine and a very good example of an unoaked Bordeaux but it's not worth anything like £6.99.

No unoaked Bordeaux is worth £6.99
