This sounds as if it must be awful. They also have a Vouvray bottled by the same J Calvet and which comes in an identical bottle.

However, upon opening I know it's a classic. It has that wonderful nutty/chalky smell.

Tastes like a classic Sancerre too.

That Domaine de la Perrierre is rubbish did you know.

Talking about this negociant, I told you some time ago that Calvet offerings could generally be trusted in Bordeaux. Unlike Yvonne Mau, which I find very very variable

However, to follow-up on Sainsbury's proposed strategy this week => =>

The defensive action to be taken by Waitrose, also this week, with their 25% 7 day offer has not materialised either, well certainly not in my smallish local.

Who will be the first to cast the dice ?

Now look you. If you like Blossom Hill Chilean sauvignon you'll like this, isn't it. Because it's the same grape, see butt.

Tidy !

No, it didn't. Just the usual waffle about gooseberry and citrus....

Did it have a slight taffy-apple nose to it perhaps?
