yeah, the feature is disabled for the whole site I think.

I tried pm'ing Mel when I first started here and she told me it didn't work.
Have to get in touch via email (or share your deepest darkest secrets with all of us  )

I had an advisory e-mail to my home address, and a pop-up when I logged on here.

Not yet, sent myself one and haven't got that either. Have sent you one now...the plot thickens. Come on Goose. What have you got that we don't?

Oh blimey. I have technical friends coming over on Sunday to play with cables, backup systems and generally spell it out to me in words of one syllable. I hope. Will ask them.

I also have a problem with my display being only in a few colours, and the titles of my desktop icons having a blue background. This happened three weeks ago and I jogged upstairs to Pete who could barely speak. He told me what to do, and the problem was solved. Can't remember what he said.

Could do with the ability to text heaven (or wherever) for things like this. I found the Will, eventually, but apart from the "you wouldn't believe how much I miss you" texts a few technical or locational texts a month would be very comforting.

Hi Mel,

Good to see you here this morning. Glad you found the Will and stuff. You could do your own probate, very simple in a Husband wife scenario. You inherit his half, it's automatic.

You have some of our phone numbers. If you need techy help on stuff, I'm certain a phone call to any of the gang will resolve most issues. I dont think they have installed Cyber communications up there yet, which is unfortunate, so you may have to rely on your additional powers (over us, the one dimensional, non multi tasking blokes from Mars) of female intuition.

One thing to remember about all this stuff. You only have to ask.

In the meatime - Have a good week-end with your friends.

The nice people at the probate office said I didn't need probate unless anyone wanted it. The bastards at Jupiter did want it. Anyway, there are forms in the post. Am more or less on top of the paperwork. Thanks, though. Got to sell two cars. Have a friend coming round late morning, by which time I'll have pressure washed them both, and we're going to do the selling bit. One is only good for Ebay, but do you have a preference for car selling sites? 06 Alfa 159. Thought about keeping it, but my Rover estate is perfectly good at its job and the Alfa is silver, which isn't my colour at all.

Love my forum boys. It's so refreshing to read all your posts.

2006 Alpha 159 is a nice motor., Silver is a good colour for resale, and does not show the dirt.
Thames Valley Trader is the one to go for. Sorry you're not keeping it. The racey style will give you a lift. Used car values are still low, but climbing very slowly out of the crunch.

Do you have to sell ? dont have to tax and insure if parked on your own land. You must start the car regularly if keeping. The alarm and Eng management sys pull power from the battery even when parked up.

Considered swapping it and my Rover for a red 159 estate. Love the car. However, came down on the side of being sensible. Can use the money to do something to the house, have a great holiday, etc.

Yes, I can see myself loving driving it. The first step is to sell it. Will then consider the red one. You see, now you're bending my opinion and I can once again imagine myself (thinner, obviously) turning heads in the beautiful red car.

Bad influence.
