I was programming in the late 60's early 70's and took on a little "Basic" in the 80's. The ageing brain can't manage the new breed of progs. However, I have been using computers at work, at home, and for my semi-professional hobby on a permanent basis. I am also a severely "grumpy old man" and very quick to criticise.
I find this site to be excellently designed and maintained. It is quick, clear and user-friendly, one of the very best in the wine world. I am fairly new here but I think that Quoffers needs a round of applause for a wonderful idea and a brilliant forum.
I have left Mel a half-bottle of Blossom Hill in my will :D .

Welcome indeed Mr Grumpy, yes Bacchus, welcome.

You have a prolific work rate - and some well recorded tasting notes in that grumpy old man book of yours. Yeah, after that assault of some 31 posts in 48 hours, I'd have thought you'd lost any sense of time and space. Pray continue, having knocked that lot back in a week, shows that you have incredible stamina.....beware, the units authority are investigating your consumption ! BTW, what kept you in harness, you logged on here in July ?

Programming in the late 60's huh, after Uni ( those huge Cray's on R&D work ? ) that makes you more ancient than me !

Such a generous chap as well, Mel will be ever so pleased - We all adore Blossom Hill and won't have anyone knocking it

The brilliant forum is all down to me. The rest are just alcoholic lager drinkers

There was a problem with the site. It would not accept my username/password, but would not allow me to re-register as it did remember my e-dress.
I have recently retired and having time on my hands, queried the matter by e-mail. They put it right within the hour, and orft I jolly-well went !
