After a poor vintage last year ( full bodied and ripe ) this is back to it's best.

The aroma alone ( when opened before chilling ) is worth the money.

Concentrated flavour but wonderfully light bodied.

Along with Sacred Hill, the best Kiwi sb of 2007

A bold statement!

I used to love the Montana Reserve and agree the '06 was not a patch on previous vintages, 14% alc! no thanks.

_______

Indeed !

I haven't actually tasted that many 2007's.

Montana ( basic ), Oyster Bay, Nobilo ( awful ) , Sileni Satyr, Tesco Finest, The Reach ( good ), Sainsbury TTD.

None even come close...I can't find any Saint Clairs which were top dogs last year
