I don’t think this would stand up to the really hot stuff but the sweetness complimented the mild creamy sauce and the savoury rice. This wine keeps growing on me. Refreshingly aromatic, there is a earthy-roughness to this wine that marches straight down the tongue, sweeping it clear and depositing a fruit salad twist. No need for desert.

Thanks for doing this GK. I always endure some angst in trying to choose something that will be enjoyable, yet correct.
When my eldest daughter wanted best take away on an impromtu Birthday nosh round here. I got out well chilled M&S Oudinot demi sec champers, cos my family like fiz for a celeb, and (I thought) it was an inspired choice.
NO complaints at all - Everyone smiley.
Her hubby finished off with Peroni.
And I went to fireside claret with very mature mouse trap (after scapping off the green stuff round the edges) My youngest daughter helped me finish off the fireside H.Medoc - typical.
