Medium bodied citrus and blackcurrent leaf. ( cat's pee )

Too much blackcurrent for Touraine but not enough for Marlborough.

Nice wine. Good price

Can't believe it's from Chile. Grapes must've been grown in Peru....or Uruguay.

Yes, the 06 wasn't bad:

Casillero del Diablo Sauvignon Blanc 2006 Somerfield 4.99

Peardrop smell with a touch of green acidity. Not astonishingly Sauvignon-like on the nose. Fresh, very dry and acidic. Much more like Touraine than NZ. Fine for a fiver, good for £3.99.

One notable difference between Marlborough and Casablanca is that MB seems to keep it's flavours for about 18 months after bottling.

Casablanca which can seem quite Marlborough like when fresh seems to become quite Touraine like after about 6 months.

Casillero Del Diablo
Tesco Finest Tapiwey
Cono Sur

Are all good examples of Casablanca sauvs which fade quickly.
