Malcolm Gluck rated this as being ' good for grannies...." and as granny was coming around for a meal I bought some.

It was sickly sweet strawberry but with an almost pleasant but very short creamy finish.

If Beringer were to increase the alcohol from 10.5% to 12%, take away 10% of the strawberry sweetness and add 10% more cream to the finish they might have a good wine here.

But as it was...only granny was happy.
