I have space for 300 in my new wine room, but I only have one wall racked, so there's potential. Getting married in June and am torn in many ways about the wine. There are some cracking offers on right now, so need to get it sorted by end of April. Luckily, we have invited very small numbers as both been there and done that in a way that looks like carelessness.

Congratulations Mel. I'm really happy for you
Surely pinot Grigio is the obvious choice to celebrate the special day ?!

You'll have a whole room for wine ? I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun stocking that up
As always I'll keep my eyes out for any exceptional bargains I might notice

Congrats Mel, hope it all goes well for you.

Only 300? are you cutting back?

If budget allows, Waitrose have reduced this instore to under £10, a lovely classy Cabernet for the table.-

Yes, yes, Congratulations on your forthcoming celebration. Wonderful.

Choosing the wines for your wedding should be an absolute doddle for you  Whether your guests will be up-there with your palate though ? Yeah - You may have to tone-it-down, a tiny bit - unless you know everyone very well, particularly your partner's relatives. Carefull, all day you will be attempting to steer the conversation away from topic of wines and what do you think of this, that and the other ! For me, the champagne or sparkling should be fresh, floral and with some dainty elegance (like the perfume you will be wearing) after which, June during the day is a pinot noir on the patio month - and that is where I would be torn. Does eveyone understand your PN palate ? Do you know theirs. . . .

I'm assuming the door to your wine room will be "not open for self service" . . . . . if you are planning the party or wedding breakfast in the grounds of your home after the Service. The month of June is a great month for such an event, so we cross our fingers for the weather on the day.

If you're ordering from Majestic, you can negotiate some pretty good off-piste volume discounts and hire free glasses, as you well know of course. Any leftovers can go into your wine room, so you can consider a little splash-out. Based on the last wedding, a wine buddy's daughter last summer, guests consumed less than expected, so the wine room may also celebrate the extra gifts at the end of the day !

Looking ahead, will be be treated to a few extra TNs from your husband's perspective :) ?

Lots of planning, lists and shopping ! To do - Good luck and Best wishes
