Bramble & cherry fruit flavour with a light peppery finish. No tartness on the finish as I sometimes find with some Rioja. Lots of Vanilla shows from the American oak which I enjoyed
This was given to us over Christmas and I was pleasantly surprised. Thought it showed better than the vina pomal crianza (2010 vintage so might need to settle a while longer)
If you like your Rioja full of vanilla then this is a good one to go for.
