The 2012 is a notch up on the 2011. But it's many notches down on the VM WR 2012. I think I may have given up on an old favourite.

I'm totally in accord with your assessment of past failures. We are in agreement with Oz Clarke. I remained loyal for a bit too long, still hoping for the '07 - But the basic Stich has just delivered a succession of fairly racy wines with an indifferent flavour. To get all that recent volume, they're now diluting the fruit with stuff from new vineyards - they must be.

Very strong money full retail in the shops for what it is. My taste buds and my wallet say NO.
